Ouch!!!!! Says Harry... : )

So Tuesday, Harry calls me, wakes me up out of my sleep and says, " Babe, we have an appointement this morning to get our immunizations for China..." .
Dang!!! I had forgotten... So I scadaddled, and made my way, 35 mins by car, to the infectious disease doctor.
They suggested that we get Typhoid, HEP A & B, Tetanus conncoction, and the Flu shot... So we decided to get all except for the Flu. We never recieved the Flu vaccine and if we can help it, never will. We have seen more people sicker with the Flu shot than not... Harry and I get a cold or flu, maybe once every 3 years...

So, to carry on my story, the Doc gave us prescriptions of antibiotics ( just in case we get sick over there ), Ambien to help with the trip and jetlag... Malaria pills just in case we go somewhere exotic...

And then, it was time for the shots. The Docs nurse came in the room and decided that Harry was going to be the first one to be honored by her lethal weapon... So he took off his shirt and she went for the first poke. " OUCH!!!" he said...
" I must have hit a muscle" she said..
I looked at him with a " you're wimp look " on my face..( or maybe I said it out loud? ) and the nurse proceeded to the next arm for the second shot. " OWWWWW!!!" he said again...

Well at that point, I thought, this must really be painful. Harry's a tough guy!!!  My concern was rising rapidly...

Well, then she came to me.. I hesitantly lifted my sleeve, and let her wipe off my arm. Before I knew it the syringe was empty and I had not felt one thing.. "Maybe I'm numb on that arm????" I thought...
I looked at Harry, and he gave me a "Really???" look...with a lift of the eyebrow...
She turned to my other arm for the second shot and before I could say anything, she was disposing of the second syringe..
Now!! I looked at Harry with a "REALLY!!!" look on my face... "WIMP".... I said...

And he said, " That really did hurt!!"..

And I thought Men were tough, Thank Goodness that don't have to give birth.. HAHAHA...

So the nurse gave us our diphteria pills, it's an 8 day regime... and we were on our way..

To be fair, Harry started to have sore arms right then and there. I, had a delayed process. My ONE arm started to hurt a bit on Wednesday...

Those vaccines can be painful.. just not for me : ))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

Word of the day.. Ping Guo ( pronounced : Ping Gwow: like the word grow) which means APPLE!!!
