Thank goodness, the sun is back!!! Can you believe we had SNOW last week???? Huh Huh Huh>>> Plain madness, pure and simple...
I guess my mother the nature was playing a dirty little trick on us.. and I do believe it was aimed directly at us!!!
Harry and I thought for sure we were leaving just in time to miss old man winter. BUT NOOOOOO...
Last week the temperature went down below freezing and there were snow storm advisories on the television.. Weird... But now life is back to normal, if you call getting ready to move to another country normal.. : )
I haven't written in a while, because it feels like our life is on hold. ( and our computer crashed) We are just waiting for the big departure. So in the meantime anxiety is slowly setting in.
For one, I am thinking (too much). " Hey, I won't have a bellboy to hail me a cab". I will have to do this myself, with my new cellphone, that I am not sure if the booklet will be in english as well as Chinese. And, will the person on the other line get my French Canadian English accent??? How many times will it take before they don't hang up??? Will I be lucky enough to find someone who will speak a little english??
All these silly thoughts that are going through my head. I better dig in seriously in my Rosetta Stone..
" Will I be able to tell the junk mail from the real mail???"Hmmmmmm???? How many bills will I throw out before I realize what they are???
How long will it take to figure out the Yuan, (chinese currency), before I don't feel like a 4 year old... T'il I realize that I left tips for people that don't require them???????
All these things that go through your head... I better take a chill pill... : )
Or take a luxurious bath, or get a massage... Or maybe a good bottle of wine.. Yeaaaaa... Hmmmmm....It might help me not think as muchhhhhhh......
Well, just thought I'd check in..
Your word of the day is, " Chi Fan" (Pronounced: She Fon) meaning " to eat "
Darn, I'm hungry now...
Thats all for now folks..
Pauline ; )

Sure got's alot on your plates. Here same old. Heavy rains yesterday and today. We went 22 days with no rain.Nicole had to put Onxy(our cat) down on Friday, as you know Pauline, it's really difficult for your Pal right now,but she's a trooper and she'll make it.The house is different with no animals. Jeeves gets into as much trouble he can handle, no change eh!!!Thinking of you both
Tom & Nicole
Hey there, stop thinking...haha I have no doubt that once you arrive at your new home, you will make acquaintances and friends in no time in the repat luxury area (you are such a "social" kind of gal), and some of them will speak English I'm sure.
By the way, it's only 11 deg today, it's cold.......I wanted to take out my winter coat this morning but Tom woulnd't let me, so I froze all day. I'll have to deduct from his allowance this week for that.
Keep your chin up, say hi to Harold. With Love
It's our turn to Freeze today, 28 degrees at 7am BRRRRRRRRRRR....
I am ready for the tropics...
