So here it goes...
Harry's tennis elbow... Still there... He went to the Doc slash wizard for about 3 weeks straight. and the technique that helped him the most was the " Gua Sha" believe it or not. It's when they take the cow's horn and massage the heck out of your hurt spot... So the Doc/wizard even gave him one with some oil.. Ahhhhhhh, what a nice quack!!!! Just joking : )But here's a picture

How cool is that... and I tried it on me and it really feels good.. But Harry still is in pain.. I personally thinks that it is better, as he doesn't complain as much.. : ) but it's far from 100%.So I guess we will have
to seek a different modality....
to seek a different modality....
and it has been wonderful...
She manages to cook with whatever is available in the fridge, which is not much, and it always turns out to be a little feast for the tummy and for the eyes! What and how she cooks is imaginative , tasty hmm hmm hmm, and educational for us. I thoroughly enjoy watching her and she seems to take pride in teaching me her techniques. So come visit and you will partake in this little experience... : ))) Here are a couple of pictures...
As for the drivers license issue, we are still in the process of the process...We ended up going to study hall for a grueling 5 hour class. All in Chinese!!! Can you imagine??? Sitting there at a school desk, the only caucasian people, listening to 5 hours of Mandarin gibberish!!! It's like watching your skin dry up, no worse!! It's like dreaming that you can't sleep, but you can't wake up! AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! The teacher would write notes on the board and I was happy when he wrote numbers down, Hey! I can understand numbers....But we got through it... We now have to study for our test, but the study guide is all it Mandarin, but Harry found a few tests in english online... So cross your fingers for us,,,
We could have taken our test last month but with the holidays and all, I did not have time to study.. so January should do it. Harry can't wait to get a car.. He is not a fan of taxi's... Me, I like being driven...
We are now back from the Christmas holiday, and it was great. Seeing the kids, our friends, Shawn and Sarah's wedding, 3 weeks of greatness... and then back home.. Back home????? That is the weirdest thing to say. I feel guilty saying that China is home. It feels like home should be either in Canada or the U.S ... Silly eh??? But I guess," home is where you hang your hat.." as long as I'm with Harry I am content to call it home. And naturally, as long as I am able to visit the kids a couple of times a year...
So your word of the day is "Piao lian" pronounced. -Pee ow lee ann- meaning " Beautiful"
